Stock Processor

I.          JOB TITLE:                               Stock Processor

II.          JOB SUMMARY:  Directs textile orders on to proper slick rail for daily shipments.  Operates steam cabinet by placing garments on rotating rail according to procedure.

1.         Directs textile material by trolley onto the proper slick rail. 

2.        Counts each category to insure an adequate number of garments per   requisition. 

3.         Communicates with Lead Hanger and Textile Pricer/Supervisor as to the adequate number of garments needed. 

4.         Notifies Textile Pricer/Supervisor of any shortages or surplus in a timely manner.

5.         Fills lines consistently for pricing.

6.         Operates steam cabinet by placing garments on rotating rail according to procedure, placing garments on every groove.

7.         Arranges trolley in position to receive steamed merchandise.

8.         Wears gloves when operating steam cabinet.

9.         Fills trolley to capacity, slide on staging bar and continue on empty trolley.

10.      Cleans steam cabinet and lint traps daily before starting.

11.      Maintains orderly storage area.

12.     Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures.Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.

IV.        OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.         May assist in hanging.

2.         Other duties as assigned.

V.         EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

            On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three (3) months.

VI.        PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

           Stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, handling, fingering, feeling, seeing and depth perception.

             Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling:             Medium Work:  Lifting 50 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
