JOB TITLE:      Salvage Electronic Processor 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:       Post- Retail Supervisor 

JOB SUMMARY:

Visually and manually prepares and records all salvage material as outlined by the Dell contract.  Prepares and places the appropriate paperwork on each pallet identifying the components.  Informs management when load is ready for pickup.  Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Visually determines the type of salvage component.

Manually places salvage component on a pallet or in a gaylord box.

Shrinks wraps the pallet.

Weighs pallets and gaylords.

Records the items as one of the categories provided by Dell, as well as the weight.

Prepares label for each pallet and gaylord with appropriate information.

Informs Transportation Coordinator that a load is ready for pickup.

Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures.Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Visually and manually test miscellaneous electronics (TV’s, VCR’S, electronic      games, etc.) as required in E/M departments.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three (3) months.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling,      fingering, feeling, seeing.   

Pushing/Pulling:  Heavy work--Pushing/Pulling 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Lifting/Carrying:  Medium Work - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
