JOB TITLE: Philanthropy Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

Researches funding opportunities, writes and submits proposals and grant requests, submits interim and final reports to funders. Writes fundraising appeal letters. Manages all aspects of donor acquisition, tracking and reporting of gifts. Promotes gifts to Goodwill, provides regular website updates, and works with supervisor to establish and develop the Philanthropy Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Researches and submits proposals and grant requests to private and government funders, reports to funders on program progress, implements direct response fundraising efforts including annual giving program, assists with management of planned giving program.

2. Manages donor acquisition and tracking systems including: donor data, acknowledgments, and donor interactions. Assists with financial tracking for Philanthropy Department.

3. Promotes Goodwill in the community through facility tours and other vehicles to enhance its public image and to obtain public and private support for the achievement of its mission.

4. Supports the Round Up program with analysis, program materials, and other materials.

5. Provides regular updates to Philanthropy pages of Goodwill's website.

6. Works in collaboration with the Director of Finance and IT to establish and develop the programs of the Philanthropy Department.

7. Assists with development of annual department objectives and action plans and creates reports including monthly reports, restricted gift reports, and individual campaign reports.

8. Provides required information to support Goodwill's Data Analytics Initiative.

9. Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License, with a good driving record.

3. Must  maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle  operation including current automobile insurance and license plate.

4. Must be eligible for favorable outcome on required criminal conviction background check.

5. Must be willing to work in both technical and non-technical teams.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum four years grant writing and/or fundraising experience. Ability to use Microsoft Office software at an intermediate level. Experience with DonorPerfect is desired but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Talking, hearing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, seeing and accommodation. 
Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Light Work - Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
