Class Descriptions

Classes are offered through TulsaWORKS Career Academy.

All classes, except for Continuing Education seminars, require preregistration. Participants must be successfully enrolled in Goodwill TulsaWORKS Career Academy before starting class.

Same-day enrollment is available only for Continuing Education seminars. For all other classes, please keep in mind that the admissions process takes a week or more and you cannot start classes until you are fully admitted. 


Career Readiness Training
Career Readiness Training is a 4-week course designed for those who need assistance preparing for entry or re-entry into the work environment.

IT Fundamentals Training
This course is designed to ground students in the basics of the IT industry. Coursework will focus on key subject areas: software and hardware, IT Literacy, Security and Networking. This course is 2 weeks in length.

This course is designed to give students the basics skills for operating a computer and working on the Internet. This course is 2 weeks in length.

Computer Support Tech Training
Computer Support Tech Training is specifically designed to provide students with troubleshooting and repair skills needed for successful employment in the informational technology industry. Includes preparation for the A+ Certification Exam through CompTIA.

Our General Equivalency Diploma Training is for all persons who need to obtain a GED to advance their career.

Workplace Computer Skills is specifically designed for students pursuing careers which require computer use.

ForkLift Operator
Forklift/Material Handling Operation Seminar teaches the safe operation of a forklift (powered industrial truck). Students learn all aspects of proper operation including hands on practice in our warehouse.

Fast Track Unarmed Private Security
Goodwill Unarmed Private Security courses are approved by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET), and during this two week accelerated course the student will learn the duties performed by unarmed private security guards. STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE PHASES I & II TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TEST FOR CLEET UNARMED SECURITY GUARD LICENSURE.
