With the help of Goodwill's Supported Employment and Transitional Work Adjustment programs the East Campus fulfills the mission of Goodwill in a profound way. The East Campus employs individuals with severe disabilities to work on subcontract jobs for civic minded local companies. Rather than taking a back seat to life these proud individuals are making substanial contributions to the community...and so are the companies they do work for.
The East Campus employees gain dignity, worth and self respect through the power of work. Not to mention a paycheck.
The community gains the benefits of productive people who otherwise would not be employed.
