Community-Based Programs

Supported Employment - services provide independent, competitive employment for individuals with severe disabilities for whom competitive employment has not traditionally occurred. An employment consultant assists the individual in job development, provides on the job training and support, and on-going support and reinforcement of job skills.
Employment and Retention - prepares an individual for employment with development of job search skills, job development, short term support if needed, and work adjustment counseling once employed.

Community-Based Enclaves - Community integrated job opportunities for those with significant disabilities, who need continuous job coach supervision. Worksites are located in four local hospitals, employing 15 job coaches and 40 supported workers. Individuals interested in working in a small group must have a case manager through Developmental Disabilities Services Division and be authorized for Waiver Services.

Transitional Work Adjustment Training - a program designed for students in their last year of high school to prepare them for entering the workforce upon graduation and allow them to gain paid work experience. Includes recognized program specifically for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Topics in this program include money management, appropriate work behaviors, basic life skills and safety awareness. Four Locations: 2800 Southwest Blvd., Broken Arrow Training Center - 2210 W. Washington, Garnett Training Center - 102 S. Garnett Rd., and Goodwill Contract Services - 2740 Southwest Blvd.

Goodwill Contract Services -- fulfills the mission of Goodwill in a profound way by employing individuals with severe disabilities to work on subcontract jobs for civic-minded local companies. Rather than taking a back seat to life, these proud individuals are making substantial contributions to the community...and so are the companies they do work for. Contract Services employees gain dignity, worth and self-respect through the power of work — not to mention a paycheck.
